Spring Term 2025
TECHNOLOGY IS CHANGING OUR WORLD
Computer Technology is all around us, in all aspects of our lives. Learners will master new and essential skills.
Mathematics is an aid in our world to guide us through the complexities of technology and modern life. The world requires us to know and understand how mathematics and related skills help us to make the most of hard won opportunities and our future. We all believe we are curious learners and seeking answers and success. We will always be able to seek help to find answers. Through dedicated learning and building on success, we will seek to make mathematics a rewarding and enjoyable part of our life plans.
THERE WILL BE WINNERS AND LOSERS
By focussing on mathematics, we can provide success with relevant essential skills and techniques. My students will transform into confident, knowledgeable, adaptable, successful and creative members of our community.
We will believe in our own abilities and know we can always improve and be in charge of our own destiny. That destiny will be to succeed by setting small but achievable targets and building on each success, to take us further and further into our mathematics learning. In doing so we will achieve higher standards and enjoy our successes. I am registered as self employed and run my enterprise as Artysim. I have assisted Primary (years 2 up to 6) and Secondary pupils (up to GCSE) with mathematics.
WE WILL HAVE HIGH HOPES FOR OUR POSITIVE FUTURE
Our experiences will deliver examination success. We will achieve success by tuition that can fully support understanding. We work alongside our learners and ensure students clearly understand all of our expectations. This approach opens doors to further developments and richer success.
Students will not be alone in learning and seeking success in mathematics. Learners will always be supported and offered as much help and they desire. We believe smaller early successes lead to even more achievements. By knowing answers and having questions answered, students will be encouraged to seek mastery of each weakness, seeing success at each stage as an enjoyable and achievable goal.
WE WILL ALWAYS SEEK A SUCCESSFUL FUTURE
Learners will be confident in solving the problems they face. Through being dedicated to learning and mastering set tasks, learners will achieve the success they deserve. Our students, as in 2024, are winners.
By working together as a team, I will be dedicated to ensure every learner can achieve mastery in the areas of mathematics they feel are weak. We will then work together to celebrate subject strength. By resilience and dedication we, as a team, will deliver a change in attitude and positive results will follow.
WE TAKE RESPONSIBILITY FOR OUR OWN DESTINY
Students seek the highest level of achievement through clear target setting. Success is measured and recognised by always seeking high standards therby completing individually specific learning goals.
We want all our students to take charge of their own future and celebrate their success as confidence and aptitude increase. Success will build more success by seeking mastery of mathematics. We will never give in or believe tasks cannot be done. We pride ourselves on being successful, resilient learners who can always succeed.
Yours sincerely
David Simington
Charges for tuition (No VAT will be charged)
All lessons will be 50 minutes to allow time for parental feedback and homework setting plus changeover from one student to another
I can provide documentation that demonstrates I am Child Protection Trained and have enhanced DBS certification.
The best chances of success lie in seeing my students three times per week through to the examinations period. Lessons will take place at an agreed time on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays. (unless another arrangement is agreed and made).
I also believe that homework is an essential opportunity to practise the skill we are mastering in any given week. It is crucial these homework tasks are completed over the weekend and are shared on the Monday session. Tasks will usually be self evaluated through provided answers and learning assessments. Assessment scores will be given and shared. These assessments will be shared and a report compiled on the performances of the given week. Where lessons are booked for outside school times these might be arranged either prior between 7.30am and 9.00am to formal school or after school from 4.00 to 7.00 pm.
Where lessons are taken with students on my property or a learner’s home a chaperone must be provided unless the lesson is in a public space like a library or a village hall.
(Please make such arrangement in conjunction with Mr Simington in advance of lessons.)
Absences are not covered for illness or for social reasons.
Where an absence is required please seek agreement with the tutor.
Lessons may sometimes be agreed to take place online using BBC Bitesize. There will be no transport costs or any arrangement costs. The fees for the session will otherwise be the same as given below. Lessons will be charged as booked for pupils within each half termly period. Therefore fees for lessons will vary per half term period depending on the number of lessons agreed and booked. There can be no refunds for absence.
Where the arranged teacher is absent refunds will be allowed for in the following half termly booking.
A notice will be sent out to families to cover the upcoming half termly invoice, in the week leading up to the agreed date, as specified below, of the fee
Private tuition lessons are charged at £45 per hour plus any relevant travel or other learning costs.
